Coming out of a devastating earthquake, bereaved widower Simon is haunted by the possibility of aftershocks. Scrambling to protect the little of what his loved ones leave behind, as he embarks on a mission to take control over the unpredictable - he might just discover the hope that lies within embracing life's uncertainty.

Our animation will reflect on humanity’s relationship with uncertainty and the future. Simon's fear of aftershocks and his retreat into the bunker represents our desire to control the unpredictable, while his treasured inventions show the attachments that keep us tied to the past. The pigeons and sprouting greenery symbolise life continuing beyond human fear and control. Through his journey from panic to stepping into the light, the film communicates that while the future cannot always be predicted, hope endures, life adapts, and it is possible to move forward despite uncertainty.
