From Dracula to Frankenstein, Universal Picture's classic films gave birth to monsters that continue to shape pop culture almost a century later. Now, they have been re-imagined and introduced to a whole new generation through Fortnite's virtual in-game shorts film festival, Shortnitemares. We Will Be Monsters was a four episode mini-series commissioned by NBCUniversal - and was produced with Unreal Engine and MetaHuman Creator, which allowed for the creation of pixels in real-time - without the need for any post-production. Part Shaw Brothers kung-fu movie, part heist film; "We Will Be Monsters" featured hyper-realistic characters complimented with stylised, punched-up animation that became a fan/player favourite during Shortnitemares!
